entertainment but when the private lottery companies
realized how popular the internet was lottery blew
up in popularity. The popularity of it all leads to
a large number of scams as well though so caution is
urged.
Many of the online lottery corporations are simply
email mines. Businesses contract with them to
purchase your email address so that they can send
you advertisements in the hope that you will buy
their products.
That means basically that signing up for these get
rich quick play for free online games will net you
little more than a headache in spam and junk email.
The extra junk mail would even be OK if there was
any proof that any of these companies actually pay
out any of the winnings.
Unfortunately there is no proof the numbers are
actually drawn in the first place. Even the games
that list the names of the winners usually does not
list the payout amounts and those that do only pay
out pennies.
You will also want to be aware that one of the
tricks these lottery places use to get your trust is
by saying something like "the numbers are drawn
every Tuesday by the state of Michigan lottery
commission." This does not mean the state condones
or is part of the lottery it simply means that they
use the same technology to draw the numbers.
There are lottery online companies that are
legitimate but you have to be very careful what you
sign up for and read between the lines in the small
print.
